And yes it has. Federal over reach and bureaucracy has done more damage to the ability of states to properly manage their own land, much of which the feds illegally own and rent out to multinational corporations which destroy it for profit.
Like the time they tried to evict all the farmers from their land by falsely claiming their cows were grazing where an endangered turtle lived, despite those turtles never being seen their and their classification as endangered being bullshit, so that they could sell the land to mining companies so they could make jet fighters while taking bribes under the table.
