1st times always the craziest, novelty & nerves tend to wear off after that quite a bit.
Yeah you get a bit of an adrenaline rush in the moment, but it's only about the same amount of a high speed roller-coaster at the end of the day. I'm just recommended some common things to help OP combat their fear that actually are a bit adventurous in a safe controlled environment.
Plus any niche info I've learned in my nominal experience that may aide that a bit.
