These things can be had for free if you know how to ask for them- department stores and such have an excess of pallets that they have to get rid of. Theoretically, your cost would be only the nails, window glass, and whatever interior furnishings you want. I'm trying to do the same thing, with pallet wood and a few Red Cedar trees on my property that I'll drop and board with an alaska mill.
