So, the scenario is this: If I’m float fishing on a UK match lake of about 20ft width in front of my peg, and I want to fish the margin opposite me - Once I have my reel calculated to hit the exact spot and all clipped up, what happens if a fish runs and takes out line to the clip? Will it just rip the clip off? The clip I mean is the little plastic tab on most spinning reels that you trap the line under. Anyway here is a fat Rudd I caught on float recently.
