>>2202332You're absolutely right to warn me but I did a lot of research before eating and only had a small amount. I only eat mushrooms if I'm 100% certain I've ruled out any toxic species and the yellow stainer is definitely the only bad lookalike that grows here in grassland habitat. The yellow staining and unpleasant inky chemical smell that becomes stronger during cooking are two clear identifying features that distinguish it from the edible Campestris and Arvensis.
Also most mushrooms aren't deadly, the only ones that really grow here are Galerina Marginata or amanitas like Death Cap and Destroying Angel which are easy to spot.
