Leveled the blade out with a file, then buffed it on a bench grinder. You can't tell from the pic, but there's still a lot of scratches from filing that will take some more buffing to get out.

I had to google what stress risers were. I'll definitely take your advice, though. I can imagine being lost in the woods carving a spear to kill dinner with, and having the blade break clean off.
