Not really a hike, more of a camping tale. I've yet to have a truely unpleasant hike.
>get massive tax return, decide to take an adventure>pack all my camping supplies(displayed in picture) and head onda road>Go to kelowna. I was supposed to meet a friend there for supper but she had to work late so I drove around and ate alone at b.ps, getting kinda tipsy and eating 3 appetizers. they had an awesome special on.>night time comes. go to west kelowna and find a spot on this mountain in the city limits but isolated enough for me to camp the night.>starts pissing rain when i get to my destination. steep climb to get to where I planned to pitch my tent. had to make 2 trips because i brought so much useless shit and a 6 person tent.>Get the tent set up. I only have 3 pegs, no sleeping mat, and the wind is really picking up along with the rain>rain turns to snow. Tent slowly falls apart over the night. Rain seeps in. I basicly get drenched. Call it after 5 hours of failure to sleep.>while climbing down i slip and slide and roll down the hill about 60 feet. losing all my shit in the mud. >Slam all my muddy gear in my car, dirtying it up.>hit the road, snow errywhere. it's fuckin late may what the hell.>fall asleep behind the wheel. Luckily I hit the rumble strips before a guardrail. Got halfway home before calling it and sleeping in the car.I learned much from this journey. still dont have any good gear though.
