>>954566Depends on the bait too. A lot of the baits that are made to run with those hooks will actually have a slot cut into the bottom of the bait so the weight and hook barely sticks out of the bottom. When the fish hits it, the barb comes out of the top.
Pic related is probably a 4" or 10cm bait with a 4/0 in there and it has plenty of room to come out the top with that groove cut in the bottom.
