>>2419699I think people win by the following, barring big game takedowns:
>don't be psychologically unstable>don't be a pussy>have actual experience doing this and skills>don't get injured>determine to wait until pulled out>slow metabolism>good genetics that can handle starvationFor people that don't get filtered by the first 3 (usually week 1-2), small size and slow metabolism tends to determine a lot, more than hunting success even.
Megan in S03 barely pulled anything; Karrie this season only has berries; Dave from S03 had a ton of fish but didn't eat them: all small, low metabolism, made it very far without great meat hauls.
Terry was one of the best contestants on the show, he was pulled at day 42 despite great hunting/fishing success.
Big ovens burn through fat and food fast.
Big reason why small women can hold out fairly long. Also a 3# fish is a lot more food to a 5'0 Asian dude than it is to a 6'5 beastman.
I'm guessing 90% of contestants don't get keto adapted before coming on, which reduces how much meat they can eat each day.
Terry was complaining that he couldn't keep that much meat/fat down by the end, despite having more to eat.
His body just hadn't had time to adapt to the new diet.
It probably wasn't digesting it properly or fast enough.
Being keto adapted and in full ketosis when you show up is such a massive gamehack, but I never hear about it.
