I've been skiing all my life but have never bought skis myself, always rented (parents didn't want to buy me shit I'd grow out of) with mixed results as an adult.
I'm of average build and pretty much exclusively ski in the north-east USA, so lots of ice and more sheer surfaces.
Does anyone have any decent recommendations for brands/styles I can look out for?
