i did a few bike trips in the alps with my dad, and he would always ask random farmers if he could buy fresh milk, cheese or fruit. doesn't work always but surprisingly often. and sometimes its free. (once a very old farmer took our bottle and just walked to a cow and filled it milking the cow)
