Rode into a mountain lion kill on horseback from upwind once. Cat just puffed up and hissed in the center of trail. Horse had an autistic shitfit and ran like a mile back down the trail until I could get in under control.
Had a grizz shadow my group in yellowstone after an overnight backpack. Was spooky, but I think he was just expecting hikers to drop/leave food.
