>>2322318I highly recommend the sarma recon 80 from varusteleka as astronomically expensive as it is. I was looking for a ruck to replace the one I had while I was in the CF and this fit the bill nicely. I am tall and a bodybuilder but my preferred pack is a very short one adjusted so the pack weight sits on a belt that is tight on my abdomen but not on my pelvis; the less belt contacting my pelvis the better..My only complaint is the sleeping bag compartment is zippered rather than 2x drawstrings and 3x ITW buckles. I had to sew a top flap for it because of personal autism and as an austistic retard I straight up cloned the rucksack brain I used while in the canadian army- picrel. I like this pack and it provides a few key points for me
-can ski while wearing it (narrow and tall pack which is suited for screaming through boreal and taiga forest)
-height adjustment possible with a few minutes in the field rather than sizing up a brand new bag (counterpoint- while sized at my fav level prevents me from looking straight up in a helmet)
-external frame allows easy lashing of tools, guns and shit like firewood without you having to worry about the carried load abrading your important ruck bag or it being difficult to secure. Spent a lot of time drunk for this post as its something I know lots about. Please pay attention to it. The key to a rucksack more than anything that any retarded niggerfaggot here has to say is to have a frame of some sort and a belt that allows the rucks weight to bear down on your pelvis from above rather than clamp it from the sides. If you're 6'0 get a ruck sized for someone 5'6 and don't overthink it. Standard hiking and military ruck sizing is moronic and would have you sized with a pack that when "ideally fitted" would press on a glute with full weight on each step making every step substantially harder. As I said I'm drunk so I'll post this as is and reassess after reading it if I should add more info.
