Added hella padded kidney and shoulder pads off a Outdoor Products 90L bag I got for cheap. Side pouches are matching swedish mag pouches, sewn on 2" webbing with a sewing awl. Can be remove (one is med kit + hygiene, other is things like flashlight, plinker, water filter, ect). Adding on a spot for my hydration bladder and hose, need to thicken the side pocket material and add some paracord+carabiner to be extra sure they won't get yanked off.
Sewed on the kidney belt with 2" webbing and a sewing machine. Nothing to it just some time and pocket change.
