I just got back from just an overnight camping trip. Ive been trying to figure out what works well for me and what doesnt. My gear is pretty much all the walmart special. I have a firebox stove but I am thinking about replacing it with a jetboil for weight savings. Ditto with my lantern. Honestly between a flashlight and a headlamp I am wondering if I even need the lantern.
Ive been parking at a gated service road and going about 500 yards up it to a little clearing I found. Its nice there because its far enough back and not near a camp site so I am generally alone there. I like looking up at the constellations with a big pair of binoculars and drawing them out checking an app to see which ones I am looking at. I saw some cool satellites crossing through Leo this time.
