>>546676for the best shit go to the nearest climbing gym or rei that sells cordage by the foot and get 10 feet of 8mm static cordage per person. it'll probably run about 50 cents a foot, but that'll give plenty of length to play with, and that diameter feels sunstantial without being overwhelming, and no one will bitch about the quality of the rope.

if that gets a little too rich you could drop down to 7mm, or maybe even 6mm, and maybe down to 8 or 6 feet (thinner ropes need less length to do fun stuff with)
