>>2275993in the winter its nice to have it at the bottom of ur tent under ur bed mat, keep the tent a lot warmer. also whool doesnt leak the heat from your ass when u sit on it, so the snow doesnt smelt and get ur ass wet while at the same time keeping u cumfy and warm. like other brought up, u can get far closer to fires with it and in general are more durable for use out side of the tent. wool/hybrid socks are pretty standard in the winter, they dont make ur feet sweat, and thats important in keeping ur feet warm.
