If you have fucked everything up in your life, you can't get a good job, you don't have skills or opportunity, and you need a quick way to become valuable to your family or your community, become a hunter, feed your family and dole out exess meat to your neighbors and friends.
Not saying that to put hunting down, rather, what a great thing hunting is.
