Fireline is superior in abrasion resistance and won't break the second it touches a rock like power pro, I've lost several fish on power pro that have gone near the pier pilings. I've never gotten a single wind knot on it like I get on occasion with power pro and it doesn't hold a lot of memory like mono. The only downside is that it's a bit thicker and less sensitive than power pro.
