I guess it's too late for winter grafting and a little too early for the summer one?
I've mostly heard that it's advised to graft either when the plant did not engorge buds, or after first full-size leaf is formed.
What are you grafting? How do you want to graft?

Btw, if you ignore the-only-right-time rules, you just decrease the chance of success rather than have none.
I did graft some prunes in mid April when my mom brought home twigs and rootstock gathered 300km away during some weekend travel, and it did took... They even flowered this year (the second year after grafting), but did not hold the fruits yet.
