I already own this Benjamin .22 cal air rifle. It fires at 495 FPS. (In Canada any air gun that fires at 500 FPS or greater is classified as a firearm)
My only concern is humane kills, I think for squirrels and rabbits it would be okay, but anything bigger, even a racoon, I am concerned the rifle might not have the power to kill the animal humanely.
I have never hunted before but am interested in learning and think this would be a good way to get started. I am interested in trying different meats, learning to work with skins, and basically learn some skills.
Any tips, tricks, experiences, advice, insults, or what have you is all appreciated.
