A couple months ago I got a pair of Ahnu Coburn boots and I love the shit out of them. Lightweight but still leather, waterproof (at least up until the nylon back, which might be water proof but the only times I've tested this the water ended up being deep enough to go over the top so I dunno).
I bought them on a Friday, and on Saturday I went on what ended up hiking 9 miles into the mountains where I camped for a night and hiked out in the morning. Only got one blister (socks were too loose, not necessarily the boot's fault).
I work on a survey crew so these boots have been used on asphalt, recent mudslide areas, steep rainforest hills, through creeks, climbing up rocky slopes, burrowing through blackberry thickets, and god knows what else. They've help up amazingly so far and the only time my feet have complained was when standing in one spot on pavement for 8 hours.
I love these boots, anon. I really do.
Pick is of the color scheme I got. I think they look pretty damn cool too.
