>poncho #1 (also Helikon one, cheap and good)
>food (package my own meme MREs)
>3l water (in reservoir)
>cooking (just one piece)
>warmer undies for the night (only during winter)
>bit of a paracord
>small foldable shovel
>few larger nails with bent heads
>small flashlight
Outside:
>bottle pouch with a inflatable sleeping pad (Exped Dura 5 for winter, thermarest zlite for warmer time)
>sleeping bag (Carinthia Defence 4 to winter time, Tropen for summer)
>elephant skin (Bundeswehr groundsheet, very cheap and awesome)
>elastic bands with hooks
>1,2l water bottle (metal so I boil stuff in it)
>extra pouch with smaller stuff (batteries, navigation, water filtration...)
>two smaller pouches for wet wipes and snacks
On me:
>headlamp
>firemaking (matches, lighter and ferro rod - all in waterproof package)
>poncho #2 (you don't really need it, but it is very useful and comfy to have two)
>first aid kid (also waterproofed)
>actual map (also waterproofed)
>knife
I usually carry extra water bottle with me if there is no water along the way. Or just boil/clean snow during winter time. Picrel is winter setup before upgrade to inflatable sleeping bag. Backpack is Trizip from Camelback, which is 35 l. I can do three days with this setup and be very comfy no matter the weather. I've been using it for years now and it is bretty comfy.
