>>2382436Switzerland here, hiking here is nice, but it is steep as fuck. Apart from Switzerland I went hiking in Norway (+++), Sweden (++), Finland (++), Scottland (++) and _Iceland (+++). Next on my to do list is the Rhodopes mountains in Bulgaria.
My tip for best value hiking wise would be do DNT hut touring in Norway, they got hundreds if great huts in the mountains and multi day trails connecting them. Ultra comfy, great scenery and nature and as long as you stay in the huts even Norway is cheap. You can do the same in Switzerland with SAC huts, but it is steep as fuck and this year will be full (Covid measures over)
