Highly unlikely any provider's going to allow home-brew equipment on their network, even if it's a transparent repeater.
You really don't want to fuck around with provider's signals, and the FCC hits hard when they find you.
Type certifications exist for a reason; let engineers that know that shit do the hard work.
Amateur radio's the band for /diy/, not cellular. (More fun there anyways; I have better radio coverage in the mountains than I do with cellular).
