I've been a Gerber guy for years, always liked the one-handed opening feature. This one's my 2nd or 3rd.
The OHT doesn't open as easily as the Gerber. Gerber I can hold the body and flick my wrist to spit out the pliers; with the Leatherman I squeeze the plier latches and let the weight of the body fall to open the pliers.
The replaceable wire cutters are a really good feature, especially if you use that a lot.
I prefer the blade/tool lock mechanism on the Gerber, but honestly the Leatherman's not bad.
Don't have to open the pliers at all to get to any of the blades/tools with the OHT.
Spring force of the lock on teh Gerber holds the tools down, where the Leatherman's more of a friction-lock. Still a positive "snap" once it's closed, but it won't suck it in from mostly-closed like the Gerber does.
