I just tied one double figure eight knot at the end of my main line and another double figure eight knot about 6 inches above it. I larks headed a small bass sinker on the very end and I larks headed a #6 gamakastu octopus hook on the higher figure eight knot with a single nightcrawler. If I'm going for big big catfish I will use basically the exact same setup except I'll run braid on my mainline to a fat barrel swivel and a mono leader. I'll upsize my reel and pole dramatically too. The double figure eight rig is perfect for multi species creek fishing. Light tackle fishing off the bottom with worms is just all around fun.
