>>1126709Did not see anyone mention this yet so make sure your pull rope is longer than the height of the tree. I've seen plenty of people pull a tree onto themselves and get smoked by the branches.
Would be best if you had two people to dip this because you need to start pulling as it starts to go.
1. Tie rope as high as possible on the trunk, 2. Gonna need a saw or chainsaw with tree that close to fence. (Wear thick gloves, construction glasses, and jeans/long sleeves. Non negotiable) go on YouTube and watch a full safety video on cutting, 3. Have second person put pressure on the rope in direction of pull, then cut a wedge into fall side of tree that goes 1/4th of depth, 4. Not using the tip of saw, start cutting into the fence side of tree a few inches from the ground towards the wedge. Go slow and let the saw do the work. Follow safety guide and keep a firm grip/wide stance to control blade if it jerks towards the fence, 5. When you notice tree starting to tilt even slightly cease cutting and walk AROUND fall path to the rope. Both people pull rope in jerking motions. This will start swaying the tree and break more at the cut until it falls.
Cut for firewood.
>T. CE with hundreds of trees killcount.
