Based off my personal experience, and exposure to a variety of dogs I'm heavily biased towards the ridgeback. The dog is huge, intensely smart, loyal, and overall a bad ass. The males can get to be 120+ pounds and they can sprint like greyhounds. Traditionally they were used to flush lions out of the bush for hunters.
Only issue is they need to be properly trained and you need to spend time with them and keep them active. Also have money because big dogs can eat.
