Then depending on the season get a lightweight sleeping bag, if you're only doing summer you can get lightweight 35F/0C bags for $50, check craigslist.
Then just get a thermarest zlite sleeping pad.
All this should easily fit in a 60L backpack and if you get used to backpacking first it will open many other possibilities down the road
