>>1628060yeah no it wasn't common but if there was a stingray cruising along the pier in casting range it was 100% worth a try. i did catch pic related pin rigging one year, the conditions were shitty so i wasn't expecting to catch anything (overcast, cold front, dirty water). i wound up having to beg some rando for the spot he had just caught, other wise i wouldn't have gotten bait. it weighed in ~64 pounds.
