pair this with the right sized satchels, bags, etcetera, and some nylon straps, and you won't find a better solution for hiking heavy. my marine friends have told me that it makes 90lbs feel like a 50lb ALICE ruck. i abused the fuck out of mine and it never had a hiccup. also, i asked the company if they'd send me an extra bar, and they did so for free. the whole thing is adjustable for your body and the intended use. the baseplate is absolutely amazing, you can put your compression sacked sleeping bag into it, and then put your knees on the plate and pull the nylon straps to tighten it down with your entire weight, and then still have a 200 liter duffel on top of it.
