As a kid I had a surprising amount of luck with a thing called a pocket fisherman, caught my supper more than once with that thing while out camping with my parents, if you really want to go ultra portable then maybe you should just think about using a hand line or just cut a pole while out and tie a line to that, I've caught fish that way too
