Unfortunately some of their knives, like all folding knives are made abroad, probably in China and I wouldn't recommend them. If you're about to buy a Marttiini you should check the manufacturer's site first for the country of origin.
Of course I'm biased, but I think a knife made in Finland by a company with a long history and a good reputation can't be bad. By the way, the other big knife manufacturer here is Roselli, more expensive but better.
IMO the best /out/ knife is either a Finnish "puukko" or a Bushlore type bushcraft knife. If you don't need a super strong knife for wood splitting and survival, then it's the puukko.
