Don't act like a tool, this means no being a fucking autist who wont stop putting green wood and leaves on the fire making it smoke like fuck.
When you get there, set up the tents first, it sucks setting them up in the dark and if you think you'll remember to do it, you'll put it off and you'll be halfway done when it gets dark.
Shelter, Clean water, Warmth, foods that provide slow burning energy.
Ask questions like, what happens if you cant get the fire started?
what if it rains/hails or high winds come along.
Prepare bro and you'll be fine, just dont overpack and give yourself back problems.
If your in a car you can probably afford to bring along luxuries.
and dont drink from 'fresh water streams',
they are usually down stream from industrial areas or at the very least contain bacteria from animal shit or even animals dying in the river (rotting flesh). make sure to bring a filter and boil your water.
