>>1392696>how do i get into hunting>i want to be a woodsman, /out/doorsmen and go and actually do something experience something but I'm stuck in sity lifeMy advice to you and any other anons interested would be to spend a little extra money your first go around and do a guided hunt on private, managed land. Having someone experienced walk you through the basics of hunting/field dressing/outfitting/etc makes the whole hobby way more approachable. You can learn a lot from books/internet sources, but having someone there in person is invaluable.
I was in a very similar position to y'all until about age 28
>t. grew up in LA>no family members to teach me >did a couple guided hunts in the beginning>learned enough that I could comfortably go out and do my own thing in the following yearsObviously learning from your dad or w.e at a young age would be ideal, but not everyone has parents who are into that sort of thing. Guided hunts help fill that void.
