I'm going to be homeless in a few days.
I very much do not want to interact with or be around other homeless people, or really just people in general. So shelters are out of the question. I'd much rather brave the wilderness.
I have about $1500 cash, a laptop, and a desktop PC. The plan is to rent a storage unit to store the PC until I can sell it. I'm hoping to get around $1000 for the PC and two monitors. I'll sell the components individually to get the most money.
I'm in Southern Ontario, so not freezing to death over the will be the main challenge. I'm thinking I'll find some secluded piece of public land somewhere outside of town and basically just camp out. I'll buy a tent, space heater, and any anything else I need. I'd imagine a bicycle would be a good investment, even in the winter. I'm pretty sure I can sustain myself food-wise by playing online poker on public wi-fi.
How would you recommend I spend the money that I currently have? Any tent or other gear-related recommendations? General advice? I have no experience with any of this stuff.
