>>294869Both. I never built anything bigger than a bookshelf at that point. I learned by doing, but I really utilized my resources to make sure I didn't make any huge mistakes. My dad and my cousin's husband both have a lot of experience with carpentry so they helped me a lot. If I could do it again, I think I could do it a lot better and more efficiently, but it was a great experience.
I admit it was kind of rushed. I was young, had a big plan, and had my heartbroken by a 7/10 the previous winter, so I had to be out in the woods building, you know?
