I keep the pores when drying boletes only if they're completely white and unopened. In all other cases I remove before drying. The pores turn to slime when rehydrating unless they're very young.
A woman I know dries and powders the pores separate from the rest and uses the product to flavor things. I can't say I'm a fan of the texture, but he flavor is good and it's a great way to extend your harvest
