can't do anything about the tropical torrential rain here
compost constantly gets washed away
i've chopped down lots of coconut husk (cause i don't have machinese for that lol) and laid them as mulch recently
the soil gets noticeably crumbier under the mulch
maybe it'll work this time, or maybe the mulch will be the better habitat for parasites, i have no idea
