>>1333152It's harder to explain than I though because it's one of those things you don't think about a do after a while.
Think about it like this, when passing the bevel across the stone, you always want to maintain the same angle right? How do you change that angle? Well by changing the pitch of your wrist. Also you always want the bevel flat on the stone right?
So as you get to the curve, lift the end of the handle up, while keeping your wrist in the same angle to the stone, so the bevel continues to travel flat across the stone through the curve.
Just imagine how you would sharpen a disk, you would rotate the disk as you cross the stone, so just imagine the belly of your knife as a disk of the same radius of the curve.
I did a bad just of explaing that... Maybe because I more often use my Wicked Edge that kind of sort of does it for me (well not quite)... But you can practice by marking the bevel with a sharpie, and trying different things, till you can mostly remove the sharpie from the curved bevel in one pass.
