I plan to do very long distance walking and have a preference for non-modern materials. The kind of thing that would have been worn hundreds of years ago that I'd be able to repair myself with some leatherworking tools and thread.
Cost is a non-factor but I'd like a pair that lasts many years which I can self repair incase I'm innawoods for a long time.
