Grass and other lawn plants are adapted to being grazed on by large animals. Maybe not a boomer hacking them every weekend but mowing once a month is better than not at all.
Same with forest fires and cutting down trees. Too many places are overgrown by invasive Asian weeds and stunted saplings because the general public is scared of fire and chainsaws.
