This particular location is a system of dry washes at the foot of the Bristol Mountains. I took this as the sun was starting to go down, but it was around 105 degrees for most of the afternoon.
It's obviously the dry season out there right now, so it's not very colorful, and sourcing water would be a challenge, but on the plus side, it's real easy to get a fire going. Basically anything living or dead will go up like a match.
