>>2770772Swivels are fine. If you often spool it into the rod eyes, you can add a "anti tangle sleeve" before the swivel. It's usually used for carp rigs.
But I'd recommend you keep at the knot practice. Check out this one:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOQIIeyLHwg - On the leader side, do 4-6 loops (if the leader is thick). If you're using braid as mainline, do 10-16 loops. The braid is much easier to loop than a thick mono leader.
