>>1124281I would definitely point you towards the GR11 or it's higher altitude alternative the HRP. The GR11 runs along the Spanish side of the Pyrenees and the HRP kind of criss-crosses the boarder a lot more into France. Their is also the GR10 which stays mostly on the French side. However, everyone I know who has hiked both says the GR11 is superior. I hiked the GR11 from the Atlantic to the Med this year between July and August. It took me 29 days, but I beasted the last part of it, and most people seemed to be taking between 35-45 days to complete it, no bragging or judgment, just to give you an idea how long it could take. I hiked the first section with a Swiss guy I met and he was super impressed with the Pyrenees, saying they were wilder and less developed than the Alps. Also camping is much more common place than in the Alps. Ask anything you want, I loved the route so much that I want everyone to walk it. I am heading to the US in 2018 to try and thru hike the AT, but if for any reason that falls through I will be on the first place to Spain so I can have a go at the HRP.
