Some of the /o/ memes were like this. You can get 50 or 100 of something made and you get to see prototypes and proofs before they make a production run, but it's going to take a few months and cost a bit of money. If you want to sell them at a fair price, you're going to have to move quite a few to recoup your production costs.
Post preorders on here and /k/, and even post them on eBay if you can sell S30V knoifes with a decent design for the low.
I hope you get them made and hopefully they turn out well if you do, but I'm just giving you a heads up that it may cost a couple grand and take a year before you start getting any money back from them.
The upside is once you get the design and everything worked out, ordering subsequent batches will be much cheaper, easier, and faster.
