>>790668>>790674Nah, I actually like that 20 size. It will be easier to cast 1/8oz lures like smaller Rapalas and Rooster Tails.
And the offset worm hooks depend on the bait. They are cheap, like $2.50 for a pack of 5 Eagle Claw ones at Walmart. I always like the "wide gap" (EWG) and size 2/0 or 3/0 for most worms, and 4/0 is good for the Zoom Super Flukes and stuff like that. I think 3/0 EWG's will work for a lot.
First time out, if you want to do lures, I would reccommend an inline spinner like a Rooster Tail or a jighead with one of those curly tail grubs in your kit. Smaller ones so maybe you can get some bluegill or crappie and at least work on setting the hook and all that.
