>>2790522I'm in no rush so I wake up and have a three hour long coffee and breakfast, I don't get going until about 11:00 or 12:00 and do twenty miles before sundown, I can do 40 miles in a day if I start early and get up on the pedals, a regular bike is much faster but my ride is custom built for comfort and camping and being out for a loooong time, it's basically the rv of cycling, my tent alone is almost 6 pounds and I also carry a dog, my gear is heavy and durable, the opposite of what most people do, if I didn't have a dog it I would definitely have gone with op's surly set up
