>>1281830I have 26 acres
One pasture is 12 acres
One is 3 acres
And the last is... 10. With one acres for the house and driveway
On my land, there is usually enough grass on one acre to support 1 animal. I have ten animals in the 12 acre pasture, and rotate them to the 3 acre for a few weeks.
Normally you need 2-3 bales of hay per animal for the winter.
I don’t breed cows.i buy feeder calves that are weaned at about 6months of age. There are many cattle breeders who sell feeder calves. You want a good one with health animals.
Cross breed cattle are about 200 pounds larger than pure bred. Mine are angus/Maine cross
Buy cows, let them eat grass and drink water, when they get big sell them or eat them
